Probably way late to the party but I'm jumping on the bandwagon anyway:

By now I guess you have all heard of Livejournal's latest, truly ingenious, feature: giving people the option to crosspost even flocked content to Facebook and Twitter.

Now, I will never use that feature because I abhor Facebook, I hardly ever use it.
Up to now I have managed to keep these two spheres of my social life separate and I appreciate if that'd stay this way. I believe that no one on my flist would intentionally do such a thing.

The real problem, however, is the way these new features have been built into the comment boxes:

If you're anything like me, you go "type-type-type-TAB-ENTER!" when posting comments. Voilá, you're on the godforsaken Facebook option!

WAY OUT* (for Firefox users): DisConnect, a script that gets rid off the annoying comment box options and returns it to its pre-Facebook/Twitter-fuckery state.

You will need to install Greasemonkey first, then restart FF and then click on "Install" on the DisConnect page - works like a charm :)

*repost of information already given in the news comments and on other journals - I just thought I'd share again. It's really useful!
